While Field Optimization offers novel capabilities in terms of performance optimization, you can use it in conjunction with traditional optimization strategies to design high-performing parts.

  • Use historical knowledge and basic engineering principles to apply manual shape optimization to design and import CAD parts to optimize with shapes, aiding optimal performance. 
  • Run traditional topology optimization on a part to approach an optimal shape before optimizing more complex parameters with Field Optimization.
