This course and its two subsequent courses teach you how to create a heat exchanger (HEX) through conceptual design to the final part. This course takes you through techniques used for the HEX core, initial fluid volumes in nTop, and the key information needed before designing your heat exchanger. After this course, you will have the starting knowledge to build your heat exchanger.

Prerequisites:
101: nTop Essentials, 102: Guide to Meshing, 210: Intro to Latticing, 220: Intro to Field Driven Design
What will be covered:
- Why a TPMS?
- Application Down Selecting
- Pre-nTop Prep
- HEX Body Shaping
- How to design the HEX Core and main fluid regions
Once you have completed this course, we recommend visiting our Heat Exchanger Flow Distribution and Control course to complete your HEX design. Then, to explore meshing and exporting techniques, we recommend our Simulation and Mesh Export of Heat Exchangers course.
